Fulgar Milano - Professional Appliances Add Elegance to the House That Blues Built

Fulgar Milano

When Albert and Christina Cummings began designing their custom home in the Berkshires, The House That Blues Built, it was clear to the couple that the influence each had in any given room would vary. While Albert would naturally have a bigger influence over the home's guitar lounge, Christina says that kitchen would be more her domain.

“I've always liked professional-grade appliances, not just for the appearance but because I like to cook,” says Christina Cummings, who ultimately favored Fulgor Milano as her appliance brand. “At first, I wasn't entirely familiar with the brand. I started to do research and I quickly realized that they were a step above the other brands I was considering.”

Since then, Fulgor Milano appliances have had a significant influence on the couple's kitchen design.

“The elegance and beauty of these professional appliances will be very complementary to the design that I'm trying to achieve,” she says.

Christina says she was attracted to the styling of the Sofia Professional Collection for its sleek design and the availability of options for all the appliances she wanted. Fulgor Milano offers a wide range of appliances from warming drawers to coffeemakers along with ranges sized specifically for the North American market such as 30, 36 and 48-inch models. The company, with a heritage dating back to the 1940s, brings its Italian passion for quality and cooking to their professional-grade appliances. The Italian craftsmanship is evident in the attention to detail, such as perfectly symmetrical range knobs, and the fit and finish of the appliances. Fulgor Milano also offers a variety of choices to complement any kitchen design.

A unique benefit for the Cummings and other builders is that the appliances, unlike many other supplies, are currently in stock across the U.S.

COLORFUL OPTIONS AVAILABLE

While Christina likes the bright stainless-steel of the appliances, the Sofia Professional Collection offers homeowners an easy solution to personalize their kitchen: interchangeable door kits in six matte and glossy colors. The doors can be changed as color trends or homeowner's tastes shift.

“The design is sleeker than other brands that were being considered,” Christina says. “The color options that can be chosen other than stainless-steel add another layer of interest that I had not considered.”

Among the Sofia Professional appliances to be installed in the Cummings' home are a 48-inch Sofia Pro Dual Fuel Range, which has six burners and a stainless-steel griddle, along with two self-cleaning convection ovens; a 36-inch professional refrigerator, a professional wine cellar and a combi speed oven that provides convection, microwave and combination cooking. The built-in coffee machine makes espresso and cappuccino, grinds beans, and has five settings for coffee strength. The guitar lounge will also have a built-in refrigerator and dishwasher from Fulgor Milano.

“I'm very excited for the Combi Speed Oven that will go in my pantry, and also the Pro Refrigerator with the compatible Pro Wine Cellar,” says Christina. “But I think most of all I'm excited about the built-in coffee maker. The ability to make an espresso on demand is very exciting.”
